DIRECTED BY VISAKESA CHANDRASEKARAM
“32” is a forthcoming documentary by filmmaker Visakesa Chandrasekaram. As the film’s visual artist, I created over fifty abstract digital illustrations interpreting contemporary forms of violence and institutional trauma, informed by a study of Sri Lankan temple painting traditions and their expressive use of line, distortion, and composition. These illustrations were developed as symbolic visual sequences within the film. Alongside this work, I designed the official poster, using a minimal, metaphor-driven composition to echo the film’s themes of interrogation, memory, and institutional power.
